Longbody Recovery Suit
$46.00
Longbody Recovery Suit is a dog recovery suit for long-backed, short-legged dogs whose vet has approved fabric coverage after abdominal surgery. Its sleeveless cut comes in four sizes, with back lengths from 28 to 50 cm. A rear flap opens for toilet breaks without removing the whole suit. The fabric is 95% cotton and 5% elastane. It covers the abdomen, but it does not stop every dog from reaching a wound.

For recovery at home
Use this suit during supervised rest after abdominal surgery, when your vet recommends covering the incision. The longer torso is intended for dogs whose back measurement puts them in a larger size than their chest measurement. It is not designed to cover wounds on the legs or neck.
A cut for a longer back
Four sizes pair a longer back with a narrower chest. The leg openings have no sleeves, so there is no sleeve fabric to drag on the floor. Two rear closure positions adjust the back length by 4 cm.
Cotton stretch fabric
The body uses 95% cotton and 5% elastane jersey at 180 g/m². Bound leg openings stretch with movement. Acetal snaps sit along the upper back, away from the belly panel.
Toilet breaks
Unfasten the rear flap and fold it onto the upper-back snaps before every toilet break. This exposes the groin for male and female dogs. Fasten the flap again only after checking that the fabric is dry and clear of waste.

Fit and sizing
Measure your dog while standing. Back length runs from the base of the neck to the base of the tail; chest circumference is measured just behind the front legs. XS: back 28 to 32 cm, chest 34 to 40 cm. S: back 34 to 38 cm, chest 40 to 46 cm. M: back 40 to 44 cm, chest 46 to 52 cm. L: back 46 to 50 cm, chest 52 to 58 cm. Both measurements must fall within the same size. If they do not, this cut is not a match. The suit should not press against the incision or restrict walking.

The small fit my dog's 36 cm back and 43 cm chest. There were no sleeves hanging around his feet.
I could fold the rear flap back for toilet breaks without taking the suit off. I still checked the belly panel each time.
The measurements helped me choose the medium. My dog still tried to chew the fabric, so our vet had us keep the cone on too.
